Myths about working from home

Myth: People who work from home wear fuzzy bunny slippers.
Fact: I wear slippers all winter, they just don't have any stupid bunnies on them.

Myth: People who work from home work in their pajamas.
Fact: I don't wear pajamas. If I'm working in bed, it's just boxers.

Myth: It can be hard to concentrate on working while their are kids playing in the house.
Fact: It's not hard - I just crank up my Internet radio and it drowns them right out.

Myth: Working from home can be lonely and depressing.
Fact: Only if you're actually alone. My home has my wife, my kids, my pets, and I'm connected to the WWW and I have a phone. What's so lonely?

Myth: People who work from home miss the social element of being at work.
Fact: I don't miss awkwardly saying to the same person 10 times a day as I pass them in the hall, having to smile at people I barely know, or try to work while people chatter outside my cubicle.

What I do miss about the office is intramural Wallyball, and the occasional times a vendor would take us to a fancy restaurant. That's about it...

What I like about working from... that would be a really long post!
